Kenny Rodrigues
"One of the reasons I decided to join SCM was because of the diverse background the entire team has in construction. There is so much knowledge and experience under one roof, having the ability to lean on each other's individual expertise is invaluable."

Kenny Rodrigues
- California State University Chico, B.A. in Organizational Communication
With over 13 years of experience in the commercial development industry managing general contractors as an owner’s representative, Kenny Rodrigues is part of the team that leads expansions and capital improvements.
His families background in construction, architecture and development encouraged him to follow a similar path after graduating from California State University Chico with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He also carries a certificate in Construction Management from The Fu Foundation School of Engineering at Columbia University and is PMP certified.
Kenny found a passion early in life for construction while accompanying his father on job sites who was master planning and designing mixed-use retail centers and large campus projects for developers in Silicon Valley. Kenny’s first experience working for a contractor was in the field supporting the lead project manager for a 5-Star hotel and class A office project in Silicon Valley’s Venture Capital heart, Sand Hill Road. In this support role Kenny learned how to manage, schedule, and communicate with sub-contractor’s directly for project implementation and execution. This built the foundation for hard work and vast knowledge of the construction industry at an early age.
Following his time at Chico State, Kenny spent his career in private development managing a family office real estate portfolio valued in excess of $150M – focusing on adaptive re-use and ground up projects. The projects he worked on were exclusive to retail and office in urban downtown cores along the Peninsula of Silicon Valley. With the tech start-up world’s growing need for office, Kenny’s creativity with rezoning and repurposing existing buildings supported the market trend which allowed for quick project execution and lease up in different jurisdictions.
Kenny moved with his wife and son to Colorado in the summer of 2021 to pursue a new adventure in life and change careers back to construction by joining SCM. What drives him most in a project’s lifecycle is mobilization and starting to see a project come to fruition from the hard work and planning that goes into pre-construction.
Kenny lives in Denver, CO with his wife, son and dog. He enjoys playing golf, skiing new challenging mountains, fly fishing new waters and exploring his new home state with family. Kenny’s ambitious attitude leads him to believe that all things in life should be tried at least three times.
