Jack Mutty
“The SCM team’s effort, day in and day out, to strengthen, grow, and support each other is what drives my commitment to Spartan.”

Jack Mutty
- Syracuse University
Jack leads Spartan Construction Management field operations as a Project Executive with over 10 years of experience in General Contracting and Owner’s Representation.
Jack has a Business degree from Syracuse University where he competed as a D1 athlete on the rowing team and holds his PMP certification. He has been a member of several real estate groups including DCBIA, NAIOP, and ULI.
Starting his career as an Assistant Superintendent and APM, Jack was in the trenches learning how to manage contractors, schedule trades, and integrate field and PM processes. Through years of hard work and growth, Jack moved into a Project Management role overseeing multiple adaptive reuse and mixed-use projects for some of the largest developers in DC.
Jack eventually took his skillset and knowledge base from General Contracting to pivot to Owner’s Representation managing multiple $100mm projects in the DC area. He heard the West calling and relocated to Colorado in 2019 taking a position as a Construction Manager for the United States Antarctic Program. After arriving in CO, he immediately shipped off to Antarctica where he lived for 4 months managing expansion, data center, and lodging projects at McMurdo Station.
Once Jack was settled in CO, he decided to take his diverse experience to Spartan and the self-storage expansion space. His skills executing both public and private projects have contributed to SCM growing its project controls and processes. Jack says that “working with our team to solve challenging problems and creating useful space through construction” is what drives him each day.
Jack lives in Centennial, CO with his blended family and their dog Avery. He enjoys exploring everything CO has to offer including hiking and skiing and is an avid cook at home. He has also dedicated volunteer time to organizations that help people with developmental disabilities like Special Olympics and Best Buddies.
