Overview: SCM constructed this 65-unit expansion in the Rocky Mountains, adding highly sought-after self-storage supply to a constrained market. This project included an on-site stormwater detention system, a private storm sewer, and a connection to public stormwater. Granite was encountered during excavation and safely removed with embedded explosives.
Challenges: Though the half-acre site is situated on a steep grade, meticulous design and construction standards allowed for this facility to nearly double in size. Granite was encountered during excavation and safely removed with embedded explosives.
